‘Crazy dog’ triggers White House intruder scare
One week into his incumbency in the White House, “First Puppy” Bo is already acting like he owns the place, although it seems the Obamas’ six-month-old Portuguese water dog has proven a rather over-enthusiastic guard dog.
Answering questions from the children of White House employees, First Lady Michelle Obama admitted that Bo was “kinda crazy” and liked to chew on people’s feet.
Inadvertently revealing that the United States’ hippest president – just like his predecessor – prefers an early night, Mrs. Obama also revealed that the presidential couple had been roused from their slumbers by Bo’s late night barking, fearing that someone else was in the house.
“It was 10 o’clock at night, everybody was asleep and we hear all this barking and jumping around and the president and I we came out and we thought there was somebody out there,” Mrs. Obama said. “And it was just Bo. He was playing with his ball and it was like there was another person in the house. He’s kinda crazy… But he’s still a puppy so he likes to play a lot.”
