A pet dog who was picked up by a gust of wind and blown almost a mile in a real life “Wizard of Oz” escapade has been reunited with her owner – obviously called Dorothy – thanks to the intervention of a pet psychic.

Tinker Bell, a chihuahua who weighs just 6 lbs, had been standing by her owner’s stall at the flea market in Waterford Township, Michigan, when she was carried off by a 70 mph gust of wind.

Dozens of volunteers helped her owner, 72-year-old Dorothy Utley, look for the dog, but Tinker Bell was nowhere to be found.

Two days later Dorothy and husband Lavern hired a local pet psychic who led them straight to a wooded field three-quarters of a mile away on the other side of a busy interstate where they found a tired and dirty Tinker Bell very pleased to see them.

“We were shocked when we found her,” Utley told the Detroit News. “You don’t know how happy we were. We love her so much… That dog was so happy. She just went wild. She was so hungry and we had to bathe her.”
