Masked men snatch 10-week-old puppy
Police in Nottingham have issued a plea for witnesses after masked men broke into a house in broad daylight, threatened a pregnant teenager and her 20-month-old daughter and made off with her 10-week-old Staffordshire Bull terrier puppy.
Eighteen-year-old Tammie Dane, who is four months pregnant, was at home in Thorneywood with her daughter on 14 July when the two intruders burst into the house, according to a police statement.
They told Dane to stay where she was before making off with a television, a games console, her mobile phone, some cash and Tyson, a male blue brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
The puppy hadn’t been chipped or had its jabs yet because of its young age.
“When these two men burst in I was terrified for my daughter and my unborn baby. I’m still stunned by what happened and our whole family is distraught that Tyson has gone and we desperately want him back,” said Dane.
Dane has given police detailed descriptions of the two assailants. The first man was black, aged 20-24, around 5ft 5in and of slim build and wearing a black beanie hat, a black face mask, black leather gloves, a black jacket, black tracksuit trousers and black trainers.
The other man was white, 23-25 years old, roughly 5ft 6in tall and medium build and also dressed in black with a black and green bandana over his face.
Police have urged anyone who saw men matching the pair’s description to call them on 0115 9670999 ext. 6635.
