Sonic the Squirrel banned from riding rollercoaster

A grey squirrel has been banned from riding Alton Towers’ Sonic Spinball ride because he poses a health and safety risk.
The squirrel, nicknamed Sonic, has been spotted on a number of occasions getting in the way of renovation work.
Not content with a free ride, he has even taken to stealing food from the workers and leaving his paw prints on the newly painted rollercoaster.
Grey squirrels are known for their ability to perform acrobatics in order to get at food. It looks like Sonic has taken his thrill seeking to a higher level!
Extreme action has been taken and the ride has been fitted with an alarm that will emit a warning sound to the squirrel. Fortunately, the noise cannot be heard by the human ear so half term fun seekers will not be put out.
