Taronga Zoo’s miracle elephant calf gets a name
A baby elephant miraculously born at Australia’s Taronga Zoo after being declared dead by zookeepers at has been named and blessed by Buddhist monks.
The calf’s name — Pathi Harn, the Thai word for miracle — reflected how the animal’s story had captured the public’s imagination, said Australian environment minister Frank Sartor.
